What does that mean exactly?

Well, with the rise of fast fashion, big brands have shifted from providing quality products to focusing on quantity. Check the tag of the shirt you’re wearing right now, is it nylon, polyester, or maybe spandex? These are all synthetic fabrics made from PLASTIC! Not only are these materials harmful for our bodies long term, but they also trap body heat making it extremely uncomfortable at times.

In an attempt to fight this, and call for a change, Yasmin Al Masri utilizes upcycling as a means to fight textile waste within the industry, while highlighting global issues with every original creation.
